Posting for a friend - contentious divorce, 1 minor child, father disappeared with the child - no contact since May, possible crossing state lines. Mother is frantic - military involvement, CPS, police will not locate or welfare check the child - 2 welfare check attempts and police said did not locate. Military says they can't locate. Emergency hearing is 3 weeks away, so there is no parenting plan. Father took out and received a protective order against the mother, although he is the abuser. The protective order was granted for the husband, not the child. The mother has cleared CPS, mental health eval etc. She cannot even be sure that her child is still alive. Possible mental illness and weapons involved. Mother has tried all avenues that she can think of. Ideas?
